| The time of enlightenment started in the year 1632 and ended in 1704.The enlightenment was about the people getting enligtenment on questions that seems to be in the dark , and how answers was found for them.In 1688 I helped in the Glorious Revolution by publishing "The Two Treaties on Civil Government" in that same year.I also published in complete form the accession of William and Mary to the throne after I return to England. Being known for my theory's I met a man that I contradicted his name was Thomas Hobbes. I belived the original state of nature was happy and characterized by reason and tolerance,Thomas disagreed. That wasn't the first time I met a man with such intellegents.I also met George Berkeley and David Hume.By meeting such people of intellegents I learned the doctrine that revolution in some circumstances is not only aright ,but an obligation. | | |
| In 1683-89 ,I wrote the famous "Essay concerning human understanding". In 1690 it was ready to be published in complete form after my return to England. I believed that the mind was born blank. The five senses thur out life helped shaped the mind. The people come to learn the world thur their experiences. People arrived at knowledge thur their sensation I believed science was possible thur the way our senses react with primary world and gives us ideas.Later to this day people like David Hume and George Berkeley disagreed with my ideas, but my ideas have continued to be important. | | |
| My name is John Locke. I am a english philosopher, founder of the British empiricism. I am one of the main people who served part in the enlightenment.I believed in there being a middle class ,I also believed in all humans being fundamentally good and should be treated like equals . I also believed that the middle class have right to property and religious freedom ,but I don't agree with atheism and roman catholicism because I think it's bad for the state. I lived in England from 1632- 1675.I was mostly effective from 1660-1688 and the most important change I am remembered for was the publishing of the two treaties on civil government which was part of the work that justified the Glorious Revolution in 1688. | | |
